During
2 days in Karelia you’ll see the pearl of the Russian wooden architecture –
the collection of wooden churches, chapels, windmills and peasant houses on
the island of Kizhi. You’ll enjoy the beauty of the Karelian nature during
the countryside excursion to the Kivach Waterfalls. You’ll have time to walk
along the charming embankment of Onega lake and to feel the hospitality of the
Russian northern town of Petrozavodsk. You can also accept a challenge of
rafting adventure with picnic in the pinery.

DAY

Meeting and greeting the
morning train at the train station with Destination Russia logo.

Breakfast at the café.

City tour “A glimpse from the
history of Petrozavodsk”.

At 12 o’clock accommodation
at “Masks”or “Metro” or “Nothern or *“Karelia”
hotel. A quided excursion to the club “Polar Odissey”. Picnic in the naval
offocer’s lounge “Sea Wolf” (the menu is fish broth made from trout, sausages
baked on coals, vegetables, greens, alcohol drinks, national pastry, tea)

Free time

Upon wish (for extra charge)
we can offer you the excursion to the national trade center, the story about
national Karelian trades with some trade items presentations. Master-class of
hand making of any trade item you wish-Please book in advance.

We can also offer (for extra
charge)the visit to the aqua center “Aquatica”(swimming pool, Finnish sauna,
Turkish sauna, Jacuzzi, children water attractions, café-bar).

Breakfast. Check out.

Visit to the private
art-gallery of Tatyana Kalinina “The Puppet Museum”( the main collection
consists of hand-made creatures, depicting good and evil spirits of Karelia;
also temporary art exhibitions of local craftsmen). There you can buy some
souvenirs.

Guided excursion to the
nature reserve “Kivach” where you can admire the beauty of one of the biggest
flat waterfalls in Europe , here also you have a unique opportunity to look at
famous Karelian birch tree. Dinner

After relax in the nature
reserve you will be driven to the town Kondopogu to the famous wooden church
–Uspenskaya. It was built in 1774.It is a monument of the wooden architecture,
protecting by UNESKO.

transfer to Petrozavodsk

At 18 o’clock the tour ends.
